When you get the statement from an India bank, ask them to include the USD amount as of that date. That way you have both USD and INR amount in the statement.

i got an rfe too. I think its sent to both the attorney and the applicant. They said they mailed the RFE yesterday, so hopefully by early next week I should have it. I am guessing its employment verification due to me filing change-of-address. i know for sure that my ex-employer did not revoke 140.

My company is going through a merger and it will be complete by third qtr of this year. I already filed my AOS on July 2nd.
I was told by my immigration attorney that if a buyer (new company) takeover all the immigration liabilities then I don't need to file an amendment. Is this correct?

My I-140 and I-485 also has different A numbers. I had 2 more approved I-140s which has different A numbers as well. How and when will get consolidated to a single file?
Gurus who have more insight into this process, please enlighten us.

I think its ok to have different A#'s except when you are trying to get your I-485 adjudicated and you want to use the earliest PD from your multiple I-140's.
I think its easier for USCIS to consolidate your I-140's and 485's into a single A-file
if they all have the same A number
There is no easy way to consolidate all your I-140s and link them to your I-485 - get infopass, contact IO, get congressperson or senator involved, write to the ombudsman etc people have tried various means and no one knows what clicked for them - but
something does work!
Most of the times they will accept your request only if you are current (according to your earliest PD - if you have multiple I-140s)

If you decide to change the last name and if you plan right all of it can be done within 1 week (speaking from experience. changed spouse's last name after 2 years of marriage and it was damn easy).
First plan where changing it is priority..something like:
> Financial (Banks, credit cards, brokers etc.)
> US Govt Agencies
Immigration (Since you have applied for AoS, might wait)
SSN
IRS (will be changed with a new return)
Local towns (only if necessary)
DMV - License
> Passport
> Workplace
then let the spouse make a notarized affidavit that says that she is making the declaration that I am the same as "old name" and "new name" and that I am making this declaration to change the name in official records, agencies etc.
Put new and old signatures and notarize it. Take the affidavit, marriage certificate (assuming that marriage is the reason for change) and then it is a simple cakewalk whereever you go.
SSN as others mentioned would be the first step, second comes passport, with both of these in new name, DL is easy.
The more you wait wider would be the penetration of the old name. That said if ones spouse wants it changed and doesn't do it now, guess will never do it. Sometimes it is only a mental block that it would be tough...thousands get married, thousands change their name. It is a well known issue ;)

It was an audited PERM?
I looked at your signature timeline and it says "LC denied due to date missing on ad portion." Could you please clarify what happened? My job ads are running right now for PERM LC and not sure what I need to keep from the newspaper ad.
I have taken screenshots of Job Order, Yahoo HotJobs, Professional Organization, University Placement etc. I hope the screenshots showing the ad and all the dates would be good enough.

Called again to find the same response of Denied.

I have lost 2 years as the status all the time is case received and pending (checked few minutes before too).

No, to re-activate, all that is needed is a h1B extension or amendment petition. An I-94 would would come along with that and that would put you on H1B status again.

along with my above post, we applied for H1B/H4 renewal yesterday even though she is working on her EAD now.
H1 renewal i can understand but you need not apply for h4 renewal if your wife is working on EAD. Because if she wants to come back on h4, she always can and does not need h4 to be renewed now.
did you check with your attorney, if she absolutely has to do h4 renewal.

Current Status: Case Transfered to Another Office for Processing
On May 12, 2009, we transferred this case I140 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR ALIEN WORKER to our LINCOLN, NE location for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action. Please follow the instructions provided on the notice. We will notify you by mail when a decision is made. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283 to update your address. You can use our processing dates to estimate when your case may be processed by following the link below. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case by registering in the link below.
Any idea, what would be the possible reason for this? Please advice.

I remember getting a similar email for H1B some 2-3 years back even though my H1 was approved and I already received the I797. No issues though, they just sent another I797. :)
I guess this can happen if their Database was restored to an older backup. So they had to go thru some of the processing again.

Anybody out there with Self and Spouse EAD Card approved from NSC, but Self actual physical EAD card arrived but Spouse physical EAD card did not arrive at the usual time say 5 days after approval.
Usually I have seen both arrive at the same time. Please comment. Thanks.
I ahve also heard about cards being stolen from the Kentucky facility. So, anybody out there who had to file for a replacement card for self or spouse.
"Card production ordered" is the first status that you will see and then it will change to "Approval notice sent". Tentatively, Your card will be postmarked with the date when your status changed to "Approval notice sent" and it takes upto 4 calendar days to receive the card through mail. Usually, approval notice goes to attorney on file for 765, if you have filed G28 otherwise you will receive it. Call USCIS and find out whether the card is ordered then ask for follow-up actions and decide whether to file for replacement card. There is no separate form for replacement cards - you will still be using same 765 form; I guess, same processing time applies - you may expedite by taking infopass after receiving the receipt notice for your replacement card by providing the letter from the employer. Hope this helps.
