A lot of people influenced my decision to become an immigration lawyer nearly two decades ago, but one person that certainly deserves mention is Judge Diane Wood. My attorney is asking $500 for filing both EAD and AP as filing fee. So was wondering how difficult it is to file by my self. Does anyone has expereince filing for renewal.?

just got my GC. Now if I contract for a security clearance job, like Armed forces, or Defense related one through the same employer that sponsored by GC, CAN I BE ELIGIBLE for a waiver of the 5 years waiting period -to what extent is is waived ....100% or only part of the 5 years wait, if at all .
My Company is a US Defense Vendor .
Can someone pt me to the right place where all this is clarified.
Also would the same kind of waiver apply if you work for a Govt agency or it is strictly defense...
are there some other ways where GC-> Citz can be expedited

Can this agency be any more incompetent? This will likely lead to lawsuits by those who were "mistakenly" notified that they were selected. Glad I didn't get a notice this year. I would be very upset.

Hi all,
I have been fortunate enough to get one step closer to a green card.
I need to fill out form 230 and Line 25 asks to list all visits to or residence in the US.
I have been living in the US for the past 7.5 years. Can I just list my residences and corresponding visas or do I have to list all visits? :confused:
I have a fair number of visits, as I have been travelling both for work and leisure in the past few years. I have most of the entry/exit stamps, but there are a few missing. So I am wondering if there will be a problem when I list the visits and some of the dates cannot be supported with passport stamps.
Can anyone please advise if listing my residence will suffice (although this is already requested in line 20)?
btw I got my notification June 4, EU00006xxx

With the new EB2 how much time does it take for Labor to get certified..I am applying in texas region in guess. I am from louisiana -mississippi area. Anyone there from this area ?.
In these days of PERM you may be able to get labor certification in less than three weeks. Mine took only 13 days.

If all visa holders and citizens can bring their spouse instantly then why GC holder have to wait for many years after getting GC after many years.

Do we have to pay the issuance fee if we are getting stamping in India. I am getting my H1B stamping in chennai. I am in my 8th yr of H1B.

Correct me I am wrong here:
AP allows you to enter US without a valid visa.
EAD allows you to work in US for any employer.
Untill and unless someone utlizes his EAD, he is still on H1 (if he has valid H1) doesn't matter he enters US using AP. Am I correct?
Then question arrises, If H1 holder changes his job then he needs to transfer his H1 only and not use EAD. Is this possible to have H1 renewed and transfered even though one has EAD approved, meaning is it compulsory to use EAD one you get it?
