Of course you can move, just make sure you send in AR-11within 10 days of moving. The lawyer has a good point though. I changed my address using AR-11 (because lawyer put wrong town and zip!!!) informed USCIS, they wrote back to say it had been done and kept sending receipts to the wrong address, which was none existent!! 1. File AR11 form with USCIS online, by giving the receipt numbers you can change the current address on file. Next day call USCIS 1800 # and confirm the address change.
2. If you are doing by yourself, eFILE EAD & AP - Since it is going to be your first EAD/AP you will have to attach a copy of biographical page of your passport or Driver License (DL is not mandatory) along with other supporting documents.
3. File for AR11 again, when you move again.
4. At the time applying for 485, I assume you have mentioned your current address in G325.

Sorry to see that USCIS is bugging you. I think i know you from the "Letter to Ombudsman" forum ... I also got a useless RFE but not for experience letter, so you may use my experience letter as benchmark.
I asked my friend ( who is a Project manager at my old Company) to getted it notarized ( what we call attested at India) from the local Bank. The Bank officer will just make sure the undersigned is the actual signee... No company HR will do all the crap , so its better to go via the Friend/Ex-coworker route ... Unless you get GC , you need to maintain old relationships :) anyway , here you go ....

What is the difference between an affidavit and a letter? Affidavit is one that is not on a letter head and a letter is the one on a letter head or it depends on who is writing the letter?
Does 1 each serve the purpose?
With the initial packet, I had sent
1 letter from Company A (By the director on letterhead)
2 letters from Company B (1 from colleague on letterhead and 1 from HR on letterhead)

“Any move to control immigration will affect Indian professionals the most,” said Amit Kapadia, convenor of the Asian organisation Highly Skilled Migrant Professionals.
The findings have revived old fears of migrants leaving local workers jobless. They raised such a furore that Prime Minister Gordon Brown intervened on Wednesday declaring plans were being finalised to control the influx of foreign workers.
These included introducing a points-based system which would give priority to immigrants with skills needed in Britain, and if required, shut out the others.
“Over the next few months, we have decided on changes... so that people can be sure we are taking action that is necessary,” Brown said

I had been following this forum online since 2007 july fiasco & this forum had given me lot of knowledge & helped me out to make the right decission whenever I was underguided or misguided by lawyers (very unfortunate though that we spend a lot on fee to give such professional people). I will always try to do my best if my knowledge can help any person like me who falls as a pray in the hands of immigration people.
Anyways, if you don't mind, can you pls. explain the reason on what basis did they deny your I-140 application. You did mention on education basis, but can you pls. elaborate the reason. I am really tensed about it at my I-140 is pending since more then 2.5 years now. I also received an RFE on it & havn't heard about it since then.

Hey Guys, I'm the OP. I'm not on the wrong side of the law, I was asking those "What if" questions to get more information on this subject and try to convince my employer to renew my H1B instead of using EAD.
Please don't start a fight here. Please try to respect each other in public forums.

The problem with accounts in India is the requirement to declare it here.
I don't think so, only Green cards and citizens are taxed on world wide income.
I meant the public provident fund run by the govt. We should check with a India tax expert on that, if non residents can contribute. don;t think they should have issues. PF allowed tax deduction for residents on 10% of the income, but you could always contribute as much as you wanted and top it up.

Hi,
I am trying to find a job under the "new H1-B quota" after leaving the H1-B status last year even though I did NOT exhaust my initial 6 year quota.
So, can you
1. enter the US on B2 for a job search from June 2011 - September 2011
2. leave the US on September 29, 2011 ( right before October 1, 2011 ) with a new H1-B quota I-797
3. get an new H1 stamped outside under the new quota with a September 20 - October 7 , 2011 consular appointment date
4. enter the US for the job right after getting the visa stamped on let us say on October 15, 2011
and not raise any of the following red flags :
1. Why is this person applying for a new H1-B visa right after returning from a B2 after such a long stay ?
2. Did he complete 365 days outside the US since I had a previous 6 year H1-B. I would have done 365 days outside the US by June 2011 before re-entering on B2
3. want to be a little careful since between June 2010 - June 2011 I have made a few 3-4 days trips to the US on B2 already throughout that time ? Does this hurt anything ? Would the consulate for stamping care about this or the USCIS or both ? Are the 365 days supposed to be continuous ?
4. I dont want to change status from B2 to H1-B since people say this is very risky. Any comments ?
5. Would the consulate cancel my B2 visa after stamping H1-B ?
Please advise on where I should give gaps in my timeline or would cutting it so close work ?
