I am currently holding L1 and B1 visa from a company A. Now some company B has applied for my H1 Visa. If I get H1b visa, does both L1 and B1 get cancelled.

:confused: Guys ,
I just checked my I140 approval notice and it shows LUD as July 28th 2007
I am totally confused as to why it shows that since my I140 is approved since a long time .
I have applied for 485 on June 29th 2007 and it reached USCIS TSC on July 2nd 2007.
Does the LUD on my I140 have anything to do with my 485 Application ??
Please advise ?

Recently, I made my own PP photos using http://www.epassportphoto.com/
This is a great service - It creates a jpeg file from a picture that you upload, and you can choose the "free" option in which you can save the jpeg file with 4-6 pictures in one frame (A 4" x 6" photo can yield 6 pp photos of 2" x 2"), and take it to Walgreens/Costco/Kinkos for a printout for $0.25 each. Otherwise you pay about $8-$12 for 2 photos at the same stores!!
For a family of 4, this equates to savings of ~ $40!!!
The site has all the tools for meeting various types of visa/pp/etc photo requirements for various countries.

A little update; I was asked to send some of these pictures to Sveriges Ornitologiska F�rening (main ornithological society), and the pics are now on their home page (http://www.sofnet.org) with a short story (http://www.sofnet.org/index.asp?lev=2125&typ=1) . No biggie, they accept user contributions, but flattering just the same. I can now sort of say I've been published! :) Maybe the link to my home page can lead to something (uhh, no pun intended).

Did you get the receipt for your dependent's 485 application or was it rejected before they issued a receipt?

I am july 2nd filer and for dependant the case has been rejected for missing signature.My lawyer is refiling it today. I have following questions can some one clarify me?
1) Is there any precautions that i should take while re-filing?
2) Will USCIS accept the app or should they make me wait for my PD?

So, did you follow up later...to see what happened on your case or are you just waiting. My lawyer says that the timelines are just like that.
I am in the same boat and my case was filed on apr 3 and mine is eb3 nebraska.

Grand total of EB2 pending: 33850
So, technically all the EB2 applicants should get their GC during the fiscal year of 2011. Even in the situation where no fall down from EB1.
Seems like good news for many and hopefully foir EB3s as well if further fall down of visas occur.
Guess, USCIS should wake up and move the dates faster instead of jungling during last quarter of the fiscal year.

IO would not give I-94 for more than 6 months (180 days). The moment your parents cross 185 days of stay in the US, you can claim them as your dependents for tax purposes. They do not want that to happen. Are you thinking in those terms?

I am booking Lufthansa Airlines, travelling via Munich to Delhi.
Visa on passport is expired but I do have approval of H1B till 2010.
Do I need transit Visa? Did anybody travelled this route lately? Do you knowbody who has expereinced this lately.

by the same or first connecting flight without leaving the
transit lounge. Warning: Transit only possible at Frankfurt,
Munich, Hamburg and Dusseldorf Airports, see conditions below.

above if holding a residence permit for U.S.A.. (SEE NOTE
5151)
NOTE 5151: This TWOV facility also applies for the return
travel provided it is one journey and return travel has

Hi all,
I know the Forums are still pretty active but is the IV Organisation itself still active?
I came across the IV website yesterday and was really stuck by the mission statement of the Organisation. I did not think twice - went ahead and got registered and made one time donation. I even voted for one of the polls for Sep 18 rally and making plans to visit DC but only to realise today that it was really old one :) Also when I was reviewing the forums today I realised that most of the activities seem to be around years 2006-2007 - like Fundraising Campaign or Media News ,etc.
Appreciate anyones response to let me know if IC is still active. Please do not direct any personal attacks. I did not need to explore GC info so far since my GC was started only during March of 2010 & got my Lc approved only yesterday.
If the organisation is still active, I am looking forward to joing the CT chapter. Thanks!

I have also had success using just the online printout, but to be safe, you should make a Freedom of Information Act request for a copy of the I-140 approval notice. This is relatively easy to do-just follow the instructions on the USCiS website USCIS - Freedom of Information and Privacy Act (FOIA) (http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.eb1d4c2a3e5b9ac89243c6a7543f6d1a/?vgnextchannel=34139c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a 1RCRD&vgnextoid=34139c7755cb9010VgnVCM10000045f3d6a1RCRD ).
I do not think that the denial of a petition for extension of H-1B status, in and of itself, would effect your pending I-485.
