Asked Core Iv A Question And They Deleted The Thread

I asked IV core on what version of immigration bill they support because I and other people wanted to know since there are so many amendments to the current immigration bill and Now I log in to see , the thread is missing, why, my question was straight forward, again I am asking them on what form of immigration bill they support. I highly doubt In what they are doing looks like they are working for the benefit of them self. Guys please don�t be ignorant and its your right to ask the question don�t be a dumb crowd but ask questions.
I am too in the same GC queue with I140 and I485 filed and pending, so don�t count me as anti � immigrant but also want to see the betterment of others too who are in GC process and will be effected due to the introduction of the new bill.
I searched but could not find it. why.

I have similar situation, got all my Receipts and got FP appointment. My H1 expired in 1st week of September. I would like to have H1 extended but, my employer and lawyer are saying "it is not possible now, and you will get your EAD dont worry".

Hi,
I am trying to e-file AP renewals by myself instead of using my expensive Attorney. I have a question. If you have successfully e-filed, can you please clarify ?
1)My wife was originally admitted into the US as H-4. But now after entering US on H4 and staying on h-4 for about 6 months she used her EAD to work. Her H4 visa was renewed and is still valid even though our Visa stamping on the passport has expired. So what should her class of admission be ? Should I write H4 or EAD ? AP form asks for class of admission.
2)If filing for both self and wife, should this be mailed in two different packets or one packet , two different envelopes ?

Family spillover for 2009-10 is approximately 10500, and is already allocated.
We wouldn't know this number until DOS publishes Immigration Statistics for 2010.

First of all, you need to heed to your lawyer's advise. Any charges that demonstrates a lack of good moral character can prevent a re-entry even if you have your green card. Any crime against a person with intent to harm is sufficient charges to reject entry or deny I-485 or revoke the GC. I do know that road rage conviction, DUI, drugs found in person qualify for such denials - I am not sure about domestic violence - hence my recommendation to consult with attorney.
Most of the people who are denied entry on AP are people who were out of status (people whose visa expired and they overstayed, H-1 visa holders who ran out of the period and cannot justify the delay between the H-1 expiry date and EAD issued date).
If you were out of status, attorneys advise you to not leave the country.

Yes, you must get another letter from company A, HR or some big official with all dates.
Plus get any proof you can get that proves you were employed. (affidevits, paystubs, tax W2s ...). Everything will count.
And select a good lawyer. Read IV spotlight topic on it.
Ability to pay and RFEs used to be my favorite subject few years ago :)

Hi, I recently got a H1B extension stamping in Chennai consulate upto 2010 and I came back to SFO last week. Since my passport is expiring on July 2009. I-94 was issued upto July 2009.
Now my issue is to extend my I-94 upto the validity of H1B visa. I went through similar thread and it says crossing US border to Mexico or Canada will do to get the new I-94. So I am planning to make a trip to Mexico after my passport got renewed to renew I-94. Does it work?. Or do I have to go out of American Continent to get the new I-94. Some thread from (other sites) said, I need to go out American Continent..Is it true?.
Or is there any other way to extend my I-94 without crossing the border?.
Gurus - Please help if you faced any similar situation and sucessfully got your i-94 renewed.

Yes, you can do this if you are from country that allows you to enter Canada without Canadian visa. Then, you would need to give away your previous I-94 and get a new one upon re-entry to the United States. The problem is that some airlines don't want to take I-94 back if they know you are not traveling for over 30 days to Canada. This is especially true if you enter Canada via road. Somehow, it is best to explain why you need to give your old I-94 away. If they don't take your old I-94, you can ask an immigration officer for a new I-94, explaining the situation. Then, if lucky, he takes your old I-94 and issues a new one with correct date.

tax returns. I do not think they expect you to list all the addresses that you stayed during the year.
You will need to provide the address to the tax return where your state taxes were deducted for the most part of the year IMHO. But for your GC app, I am unsure.
Have you consulted your lawyer? Send a PM to pappu maybe. He may get some answers from the IV lawyers.

thats what scared me when i read this thread... so, basically, they are using even the pending 485s to raise issues on 140 etc... this i bad stuff.

Recently joined IV. The trigger for me was the July visa bulletin fiasco. I am sure that it caused a spike in activity/interest on IV, so, some good will come out of it, hopefully.
However, we can't just put all the blame on USCIS/July bulletin fiasco, for all our woes. Getting our apps in at USCIS, will grant us some immediate benefits, but, we still might have to wait for a pretty long time, to get a GC. We also need to look at more permanent solutions through legislation, which would actually reduce the GC backlog.
Attended the SJ rally on the 14th, the turnout was good, but, could have been much better. IMO, the impact will be limited (a one min spot on TV is better than none, but, not enough). The pressure has to come from big company CEOs pushing Congress, IV lobbying efforts, etc.

Anyone willing to join the lawsuit should be willing to join by giving full information about themselves and about their application. Yesterday core members asked this question on a thread and only one person out of thousands of people who visited the site said they are interested. Let us see who all are truely willing to join this lawsuit? It is very easy to annonymously post such messages, but when people cannot even give their corect email id , name and phone number in their profile I highly doubt a lawsuit will be possible.
