Woah, different font - that's not Myriad Set like most of their stuff...
It's still myriad, just the light weight.

Austrian Store is down as well.
Take note, that Austria is NOT among those countries (US, UK, Germany,...) who are supposed to get iPad's on April 3rd.
That's quiet a good sign isn't it?

No, it certainly isn't. It's proof that we're evolving (albeit, slowly).
I'm afraid I have to disagree with you. Humans are social creatures, we evolved being social to help us survive against great odds. People with Asperger's/autism do not understand simple social cues and are often at a loss in situations where one should read subtext rather than what is literally said.
It's less an evolution than a branching off. What will happen when the world no longer requires mathematical savants to programme etc? These people will die out.
A study was done which showed that since the advent of online dating reported cases of people on the autistic spectrum increased; it's thought that the people who spent most of their time online were able to find partners and procreate, without having to do the whole rigmarole of courting, flirting, etc.
I'll see if I can find it, but I wouldn't boast about having Asperger's, it's better to boast about being an NT (Myers-Briggs personality type)

This would absolutely stink over Verizon.
1. SLOW network
2. If a voice call comes in, I lose my data session and I have to start over!
Droid updates come in just fine over 3G, plus i feel the VZW version of the iphone 5 will infact be LTE since the iphone 5 is now delayed!
In you case, Enjoy att tiered data and if you are on att unlimited data, try an use alot of data then att will claim you are tethering and automatically switch you to tiered data.
VZW has not done any of this!

I know. It's insane... Hopefully with iOS 5 we will get some sort of patch system, like on OS X. Makes sense, really.

I think Apple had at least some part in that mindset.
They're slowy moving away from Ghz, but still, to do major multimedia stuff, you need speed.

I switched to apple so I wouldn't have problems with customer support. This is ridiculous. The website is completely screwed up (Apple admits this) because of the hits from the battery issue. And the worst part is, the battery isn't my problem.
Sure, I have a defective macbook pro battery, but when I sent it in for repair on the 4th, it was for dark spots on the screen and some other random issues. They told me it would be fixed in a couple days. It's been gone for weeks, and after talking to people on the phone for hours, they finally told me that they weren't sure what was going on, but that they think it's fixed, and that it is just being tested (even though the site, when it was working days ago, said it had been repaired and was pending shipping on the 19th.) But they can't tell me when it will be back, and that it might take another week. I'm moving in a matter of days, and was told this should be a quick fix. This is really, really obnoxious. And all they can say is "sorry." At what point do they offer me a concession? At what point can the consumer say forget it, this computer is only a couple months old, give me a brand new one off the store floor. Ridiculous. I have more complaints, back my extreme irritation at the situation prevents me from launching a cogent argument.
I sincerely hope everyone else is having a much better experience than I/

People still shop at Radio Shack for more than just oddball connectors, batteries, etc.?
Thats all I ever get there. Pretty much everything else they sell is overpriced.
Everything there is overpriced. Their cables and connectors are usually 2x what they would cost from a respectable store! Typically when a part costs $12, I'll tell them I'll give them $5. They usually take it bc it's only worth 5

Now I don't know what to do. I need an iPod that can hold all of my media (just my music alone is over 100 GB) so I can bring it with me wherever I go. (I hate having to choose a portion of my music instead of just grabbing it all.) But the MacRumors Buyer's Guide says not to buy - update soon. So is Apple going to kill it or release a new version? If I wait, I might miss out on getting one. But if I get one now, I might miss out on a better model. Ugh.
Wait.
If they release a new model, get it. If they don't release a new model, buy the current one at a small discount.
Win Win situation.

If Boot Camp is supposed to be one of the biggest new features, where is identification of it on the poster?
I see on the Far Left Top corner 'Universal' but not boot camp. I finf this strange.
Does that Universal Logo mean more then just PowerPC+MacIntel? Maybe Mac+PC? 'virtualization'?

I could care less about the Beatles, but if this means the whole "Apple" issue is amicably and finally resolved, then I think it's outstanding. :)
Do you mean "couldn't care less", because otherwise your post is pretty confusing.
I'm not a big Beatles fan, but I'd probably buy 1 or 2 songs if they put em on iTunes. Even so, I think this would be a deal maker for a lot of people. Especially if they come out with a Beatles branded iPod.

I locked my jaw from the constant jaw-dropping. :D
I was skeptical at first of it being dumbed down but once I saw the demo, it has a lot of things under the hood. Things just get out of the way and lets you focus on editing. It may look like iMovie but this is even better than the current Final Cut Pro and iMovie combined. Just look at how powerful the timeline is.
Oh crap, now I gotta watch the demo video. I'm an amateur editor who is frustrated with the new versions of iMovie, so I was thinking about FCe. I find the timeline in the current iMovie harder to work than some of the older versions. The older versions had other problems, so I don't want to go back. I was really hoping they would come out with a really nice (and cheap) version of FCE for users like myself in the sub $100 price range. This appears to be doubtful now.

(ahem) There IS a difference. Photoshop is far more advanced that Pixelmator for P-R-O-F-E-S-S-I-O-N-A-L work. It has a deeper set of tools and features available. Why do you think it's expensive? For one, it has many plug-ins and filters built in that come from third party developers.
I've been using Photoshop — professionally — for about 16 years. In that time I've seen the cost of technology dramatically drop. I've seen lots of open source software hit the market. And yet, Adobe still wants me to pay $600 for what I see as bloat.
Photoshop has better layer effects, and better type control. But other than that, I think Pixelmator is pretty solid. (I haven't had to worry about the CMYK color space in years. HA!) The quartz filters are fun. I like the speed and lightweight footprint of the app. I like how Pixelmator handles certain tools... like the Magic Wand.
Pixelmator is a nice application and does things pretty close to what Photoshop does, but only to a certain degree with a ceiling limit. For $29 bucks, you're only getting what you get in Pixelmator, nothing more. Photoshop, however is a very demanding program that takes up a lot of RAM and a learning curve.
With Pixelmator, I should be automatically getting an upgrade... version 2.0 for free.
(It jumped to $59.99 though. It looks like the lower price is gone.)
I've been using brushes, layers, blends, filters, color correction... I'm very happy with the software. I have CS4 Design Premium on my PC. If it was so much better, I could simply turn on my PC.
Sure, if you work at like a Printshop or design house, it's like expected to have Adobe products. I don't have that problem. I can pick alternatives. Between iWork and Pixelmator, I've eliminated the need for a lot of expensive software that I used to use on my PC. I wanted to move CS4 over to my Mac, but that would have been $600. So instead, I got Pixelmator and iWork.

Something in the air? FAA bans laptop use due to electromagnetic interference.
No, you can use laptops mid-flight, just not during take-off or landing (just like any other electronic device).
I know it's a long shot, but anyone remember this announcement awhile back: Apple Announces iPod Airplane Integration (http://www.macrumors.com/2006/11/14/apple-announces-ipod-airplane-integration/)

And that is fine, but from a practical standpoint, as I said, you must figure out how to deal with localized economic distress caused by cuts in the military. You also have to deal with the fact that the military controls access to some really impressive weaponry. Take these two things together, the prospect of sudden poverty and ghost towns and the prospect of a bunch of rather testosterone-amped cowboys having their guns taken away, to me that looks like a recipe for major disaster and probably the reason the Pentagon's budget is so difficult to rein in.
I certainly have no problem with the idea of wasting a whole lot less money on "defense". I just think the realities of such cuts need to be looked at from the big-picture perspective.
So, in this situation, would the Military Complex be called an entitlement program, as much of it exists solely to keep people from starving or going homeless? Because that's what it sounds like to me when you talk about it like this.
