If you're outside the U.S. though, the shipping and duties will cost a pretty penny. That one and the other one like it cost me almost $80 to get them to Nova Scotia, Canada when all was said and done.
Thanks for the info.:)

I've been looking at ATI 9800 with 128mb ram and they are pretty cheap from a pc.
how do you go about flashing one?
Look for this one (Hercules 9800 Pro 128 MB):
http://itshootout.com/ben/9800pros/hercules.jpg
IMO the best of 9800 128MBs to flash. It has 128k EEPROM, so it takes full 128k ROM and fits MDD.
See http://www.themacelite.wikidot.com for further details (you'll find everything there).
As second one I could recommend 9700 (pro or non-pro) 128 MB, also from Hercules:
http://www.tt-hardware.com/img/vga01/r9700_10.jpg
It has 128k EEPROM too, it runs cooler than 9800 and it's almost on par with 9800 performance wise.

I'm opening like 7 tabs in Safari (2 of which are youtubes) and others are regular text-based pages. I also open iTunes with music on and MSN messenger. My Spec is below (MacBook Pro). Why is safari runs extremely slow and used up 1GB+ of Ram? I wouldn't have expected 4GB of Ram to run out this quickly.
anyone knows the solutions? thanks :D

I've not given for a couple of years since our town hall was closed for refurbishment (that's where the donor sessions were held). But this has inspired me to look up a session next week.
My "I do something amazing. I give blood" card (http://www.blood.co.uk/giving-blood/donor-award-scheme/whole-blood-donor/) keeps eyeing me disapprovingly from my wallet. Actually, looking at that page, I think I'm only one donation away from the silver award. Sweet!
I'm AB+ (universal recipient) which is handy.

Hey guys.
I've been pushing my passion for the iPhone idea down for so long, that the ideas inspired by this rumor were simply too great to post in the forums. So, I'm shamelessly linking to my blog.

Terrible. Shameless. So whatever you do, don't support my behavior by clicking the ads. You'll only encourage me.

educating people as an industry? Who does jobs think he is? Most of the population may be below average to his economical standards... but what the f was that? People know more than he thinks... It is simple for Apple to track anyone on a cellular network and using an iPhone... but it isn't worth the legal risk is it, if the person's' being tracked isn't worth it... but if Apple or anyone really wanted to... there is nothing to stop it with the infrastructure of iOS and cellular networks today...
What proportion of iPhone users do you think understand what a cache is? How about what cell tower triangulation is? How about the Core Location framework? Most people don't understand the finer points of how their phone works. The vast majority don't care and just want it to work and not do anything nefarious. As phones get smarter, there are only going to be more things that people don't understand - I think he makes a fair point.

I downloaded the Windows XP/Vista/7/2003/2008 Console client version #6.23.
It didn't recognize the -bigadv option, but the client I have has a -advmethod option. Also, when using the -smp option I get an error message saying that "mpiexec is not recognized".
I'll run a few more using a single core each and try to make some sense of this in the morning. (And it's all for a good cause, right...) :) :)

Serlet, is a pure (if you will) technical computer engineer... He get enjoyment about scientific computation, advanced algorithms, multi-threaded efficiency. The guy was nicknamed the "mad scientist" by Jobs himself, not because of his appearance, but because of he advanced studies in engineering and scientific computation.
He's like the man in the tech French community.
I can understand why he may want to leave, he's been gradually selling off his stock of Apple in recent years as well, so this makes sense.
Apple is more iOS then OS X and since Forstall heads the iOS development, there was no viable way Bertrand could have stayed on when Apple decided to merge the OS's.
I say it's a big loss for Apple. Though Craig should be a pleasant transition, and maybe a more frequent keynote speaker, since he's more understandable to the public.
Serlet will be missed. He's pretty much one of the Core brains behind OS X

Yea the last one was ridiculous, and crazy overpriced for what it was -the 4cyl was quoted around $30,000 and didn't have automatic *anything*, the seats felt like park benches, and it didn't have any of the nice interior features the 6cyl that cost 35+ did.
It had cool trunk hinges and tail lights, though. And that 2.0T is a neat engine (I'm sad they are launching the 2011 with a 2.5.. wtf?!)
When you talk about the "4cyl" are you referring to the turbo? Because I think the 1.8/2.0 turbo is a good motor, not necessarily out of place on a $30k car.
I'd have to go back and look at the article again, but I'm sure the turbo will be available on the Passat, but the 2.5 will be the base engine. I think it's a good engine, if not great. It competes well enough with the base 4 cylinders in thr Japanese competition. Myself, if I were going for a Passat I'd opt for the diesel. I thought the 1.8 turbo was a great engine, especially in the Golf, and the 2.0 turbo carried on that tradition.

People compain about Apple slow shipping times, Steve Job's sheep run to his defense saying "LEARN HOW TO WAIT"
Then, when people buying iPads to resell for profit is mentioned, people on here complain its wrong because they are taking iPads from people that would otherwise buy them. What happened to learning how to wait???
Makes no sense.

This really hits a nerve with me. This example of Lotus notes which at one time was a new application which was NOT written to work well with BOTH Macs and DOStel PC's was a CHOICE. They wanted for a variety of reasons to deal with only one set of hardware even though there was deployed hardware in use with users who would at least in principal, need to be on their network.
As the years passed with Notes, they begrudgingly made some versions with limited Mac support, but always as a second class citizen to such a degree that unless you ran it on a DOStel PC or a Wintel PC an employer could not practicably talk with them to the drgree they needed to.
As a result of this and the fairly wide adoption of Notes for secure communication within several large enterprises, Macs were shut out.
Now that Notes is adding "more full" Mac support 20 years later, they will not be surprised to hear Mac users, and shops who respect Mac users have simply switched to something else.
Hopefully what will happen now is their captured markets will simply buy APPLE hardware to perform Dostel and Wintel PC functions under Parallels or Bootcamp or Q.
It will be ritious.
