as far as i can tell with my own contacts, only name and email address were used for synching.
ahh thats possibly why, thanks.
Dont suppose anyone made an app on the iphone for MACrumors.com at all???? would be very handy in a similar form to the facebook app rather than using safari

There has been a lot of misreporting on this issue the last few days. I clear up this issue in my latest podcast. Where I talked to the USPTO, read the actuall letter and talked to the people that actually applied for the term Podcast.

Hate to say it but the website sure makes the company and product to be a bunch of BS... they make a lot of claims with little to back them up.
They may have a real and useful product but... man they could present it in a much better way.

Wow this is big! I'm not sure but hasn't it been like forever since Mac had 5% marketshare? Over 5% must put them in the top 5 pc makers? Maybe top 3? This is already huge growth, if they get to 10% or more look out!

I have used a Moto Xoom. Honeycomb requires you learn a new user interface. Instead of a nice seamless experience where you can get right in to using apps, you have to learn about the literally 3 or 4 different ways to trigger, dismiss, and access apps. If they're utilities, they're accessed one way. If they're apps, you've got an app menu and a desktop-style metaphor to try-- either works. It's confusing as hell. I mean, you can LEARN anything, but why would you want to.
Bottom line-- a Xoom is $800, it's far less functional, and it's far more confusing to use.
imo, if you've used any type of gadget before.. it's pretty easy to learn honeycomb within 5 mins of using it. hell i find it easier to use than a vcr. i think that some apple users, and i'm not saying you specifically, are just so used to ios or osx, that in a way.. before even trying out a new device.. they already pre judge it or are even biased.
i don't agree with your statement about the desire to learn new things also.. a lot of people love gaining new knowledge. why would you limit yourself like that? just years ago, i knew most things about how to efficiently use windows os, but my curiosity to learn osx made me a mbp owner.. you learn that some things have their purposes and usefulness.

And this will help apple how? People aren't gana buy iOS devices for airplay but will for the atv.
It will help Apple sell their products to people like me who won`t ever purchase any IOS device until the system is opened up to be compatible across different platforms.

Okay, anyone with any intelligence can tell this is fake.
1. Camera positioning is wrong, the positioning of the camera would be closer to the middle of the ipod, because the image sensor would be to wide/thick to fit there, its not like the iphone which is not rounded.
-in image 4 you can also see that the camera was photoshopped in by the pixel patterns
-photo 1 you can see fake shadowing opposing the camera to make it look as if its real, but really giving away its fakeness
2. capitative button, the idea is cool, but apple already discussed this option and said it was unreliable, and would cause many to lose battery life from heat activation.
-Also in image 3 you can clearly see it was photoshopped by the blurring, repeating and the swirling on the fingerprints.
3. Capacity, the actual and physical capacities of a device are different, a 128 gb ipod would have 120gb physical. then some more reserved for apple so 118gb
-also photoshopped, if you noticed the added blur in the area of device capacity, its because there is. also the focal point is distorted by the blurring effect so it proves the photoshopping
4.DVT-1 that is the name commonly used for the development of iphone, but each test was labeled with its respective code such as N90, or its respective XXGB meaning which has come to be known as the common for test items, because the cases are manufactured the same for many levels as the internals are tweaked and tested.
-photo 1 shows a blured capacity like 64gb, not the same as the 4th pictures dvt-1
-photo 4 is filtered to much, and has photoshopped DVT-1 which would be an improper labeling
so in conclusion macrumors should remove this or label it as fake on top, its completely fake, and not even a good rumor.

Its not that democrats "don't have balls."
I have been thinking about this a lot. I am anarchist politically, but lets put that aside for this discussion.
Lets assume that democrats in political office by and large do care about issues of poverty and inequality. Lets take them at their word for a just a moment.
The reality is that even if they "care", they are not impacted by these issues in the real world. They come from a position a privilege, one in which the reality of actually needing and using social welfare programs will never effect them.

officially supporting the iPhone requires a little custom work on the part of the carrier. People have been unlocking iPhones for years now and putting them on T-Mobile, but the Visual Voicemail feature is non-functional when you do that.
If T-Mobile isn't expressing any interest in changing things on their network just to support this one phone, that could be a sticking point right there?
The larger carriers like Verizon or Sprint have more resources available to do things like this.
It took a "research firm" to figure this out? I don't know why people were expecting Verizon to get it before T-mobile. All carriers will get it eventually but it makes only sense that the one also using the GSM network will get it first.

Hook up that chip, and then just keep overclocking the thing... you don't have to worry about it overheating and melting, it'll just give you more battery life.
Maybe this is a joke? The processor will still heat up in the beginning to a given temperature, and if it crosses the safe upper limit, it will be damaged. This technology will take the generated heat and convert it to electricity--it won't make the processor generate less heat.
Wouldn't using the "extra" electricity to power fans to decrease heat lead to less "extra" electricity???? I hope they really think this through - and I'm sure they will. Of course powering fans isn't the only use for electricity.
Of course it will. But if you're producing 110% power at 102% consumption, that's still an 8% gain. The trick is to ensure that the benefit outweighs the cost (both in price and in additional power drain to power the system) by a large margin. This is the sort of thing that improves with time.
This could be very cool if it works. Just slap one of these between your processor and heat sink and get 30% more battery life. Or on desktops force cool your system without liquid.
You won't get 30% of your electricity back. You'll get up to 30% of the power lost through heat which is accessible to the chip (that is, the portion not lost from convection cooling of the case) and above ambient temperatures. If you're in a warm room, for instance, you'll have much lower performance, since it requires the differential to work. Of course, maybe the information available isn't wholly accurate, but that's my understanding based on the description.

Import the CD, then click on the Browse button (top-right, look like an eye).
Scroll down the album menu to the album. Select it and key Apple-I, it will ask you if you want to edit multiple items, you say yes, and then enter the name you want in the artists field...
Ouch!! I don't have a Mac yet - have tried right mouse clicking it, but no options come up?

are you jailbroken? do you have biteSMS installed? if so, thats probably why. if you go to SBSsettings > mobile substrate addons > and then turn off biteSMSsb, it will work normally. but im sure as hell not giving up my biteSMS for a facebook update that has a non functional locations feature (which even when it works i will not use) and background photo uploading. if you dont have the 5 seconds to wait for a picture to upload, maybe you shouldnt be wasting your time on facebook anyway.
I am JB and have biteSMS. This is the reason the new version won't work? I'm logged in but everything keeps popping up 'Error' on every page.
Is the only option to restore the old one by syncing with iTunes on my computer?

Is there a catch to this deal? Do you have to buy a MiFi and sign up for some sort of data plan?
$299 is ridiculously tempting.

thanks for welcoming me. i had a windows box running SETI all day but saw that Macrumors had a folding@home team so decided to join in. i have a question though, does having a dedicated GPU help out alot? Right the computer only has integrated graphics.
welcome to the team and thanks for joining!
as for a dedicated GPU, it depends. you can run a GPU folding client, which will use your video card for folding, and you can still run a CPU client also. right now, nvidia cards work much better for folding.
what setup do you have now?
